DICTATION SENTENCE
The grading for the dictation sentence is as follows:
The sentence is worth 5 points. One point for a capital letter at the beginning of the sentence. One point for an endmark at the end of the sentence. One point for spacing between each word. One point for neatness of letters on the lines. The last point is for the correct and proper spelling of all the words in the sentence.

CHALLENGE SPELLING WORDS
Students will need to know how to spell these words for extra credit in the first semester. During the second semester these challenge words will be factored into the child's regular spelling grade.
